Ron Leonardi is a Seattle pianist and keyboardist who has spent his life around the instrument — on stages, in studios, and teaching.
My diversity of experience and education allows me to combine music theory with a rich understanding of what works best in any given setting.

Honors graduate with BA in Jazz Piano Performance.
Masters in Film Composition
Received Masters in Music from Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program and completed additional coursework at Berklee College of Music.
30+ years performing
Starting in the Philadelphia and New York scenes, Ron has spent over 30 years playing original and cover music in all types of venues across the country.
25+ years teaching
Ron taught a generation of kids on Seattle’s Mercer Island. He now takes intermediate adults and teens from his studio in Montlake.
An honors graduate of Cornish College of the Arts with a degree in Jazz Piano Performance, a Masters of Music in Film Composition from Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program founded by Hummie Mann, and a Berklee College of Music alum. Ron pairs deep musical theory with an ear for exactly what a room needs. That combination — real training and real stage instinct — is what lets him move from a quiet wedding ceremony to a packed dance floor without missing a beat.
Over three decades he has played weddings, private and corporate events, festivals, cruise ships and nightclubs across the country. Along the way he's backed singers, anchored bands, and played original and cover music.
For more than 25 years Ron has also taught private piano, His students have gone on to Berklee and into working touring bands. Today he keeps a busy performing schedule around Seattle and teaches intermediate adults and teens from his studio in the Montlake neighborhood of Central Seattle.
Ron performs as a keyboardist with two of the Seattle scene’s hardest-working bands, and a regularly sits in with many more. He has played corporate parties for the regions biggest businesses, weddings, birthday-parties, festivals and theater shows. A small sample of clients and venues he’s played in the Northwest include: Chelan Wine & Jazz Festival, Seattle Pride Parade, University Village Summer Concert Series, Hard Rock Cafe, Tulalip Casino, Muckleshoot Casino, Seattle Kraken, Seattle Storm, Seattle Seahawks, The Showbox, Crocodile Cafe, Bite of Seattle, Taste of Tacoma, Taste of Edmonds, Taste of the Northwest, Boeing, Alaska Airlines, Nordstrom, Fred Hutchinson, New Years at the Space Needle, Fourth of July at Gasworks Park.
